Placement and Removal of IVC Filter

This exhibit presentation consist of a step by step description and illustrations that depics the process of insertion of a catheter into the femoral vein, passing the IVC filter within a sheath through the catheter and moved up into the inferior vena cava where the filter is deployed. On the last illustration removal of the IVC filter is shown through the internal jugular vein where the catheter is introduced and passed down to the inferior vena cava where a snare is used to pull the filter into the sheath and retrieve it.
