Barium Leak Into Abdominal Cavity
Barium Leak Into Abdominal Cavity

This exhibit consists of a single board comparing the initial damage caused to the client by a barium leak throughout the abdominal cavity from a puncture in her stomach and the damage discovered later as an effect of the loose barium fluid. The first image gives an overall view of the abdomen and the areas where the fluid escaped and collected around the intestines. The second image features the graham patch used to fix the leak area, the remaining barium fluid, and a mass in the pelvis surrounded by barium fluid that is also seen in the included inset.
