Bilateral Iliac Artery Angioplasties
Bilateral Iliac Artery Angioplasties

This medical exhibit will consist of six illustrations on a single exhibit. The first illustration is an anterior cutaway view of the abdominal aorta, iliac arteries and femoral arteries. The vessels are visible within a figure that is shown from the waist to the upper legs. Sheaths are present in both left and right thighs. Glidewires are present in both femoral and iliac arteries and extending up into the abdominal aorta. A femoral-popliteal bypass is present on the right side from a previous procedure. The second illustration is identical to the first, except that it has the balloon catheters inserted bilaterally in both common iliac arteries. The balloons are not inflated. This image has a close up inset of the catheter. The forth illustration is identical to the second illustration except that the balloons are inflated along with matching inset. The sixth image is an inset showing the balloons being deflated.
