Bilateral Open Reduction and Internal Fixation of Right and Left Radius

This exhibit shows two similar surgeries to repair a comminuted fracture of the distal radius of both wrists. To the left side of the board is the ORIF of Right Distal Radius and to the right side is the ORIF of Left Distal Radius in the order in which surgeries took place. The surgical steps illustrated include: The skin incision made over the volar aspect of the radius and the fixation procedure with plate and screws.
