Left Ankle Fracture with Surgical Fixation

The injuries consist of a comminuted displaced open fracture with extension to the tibial plafond and distal fracture of the fibula. A femoral distractor is applied to the tibia and talus to reduce the fracture while a plate is affixed with screws to the fibula and another plate is affixed to the tibia through an anterolateral skin incision.
