Left Femur Fracture with Surgical Fixation

This series of illustrations begins with a color interpretation of an x-ray of the left femur which shows a basilar femoral neck fracture and a subtrochanteric femur fracture. The surgical procedure here illustrated include reaming of the femoral canal to fit an intramedullary nail, insertion of the nail and securing the nail in place with a proximal spiral blade into the femur head and two distal interlocking screws.
