This stock medical exhibit depicts the normal anatomy of the circulatory system. The first graphic illustrates cardiac output(blood carrying oxygen) from the heart and venous return(carbon dioxide) to the lungs. A cross-sectional view of the heart and lungs are included. An enlargement of an alveoli shows how oxygen and carbon dioxide are exchanged via blood vessels. A schematic view of a capillary is included showing this exchange at the molecular level.
