Pre-operative condition with painful below knee amputation stump secondary to the following:rn- Bursal sac and draining sinus which developed over the end of his tibia.rn-Atrophy with invagination of the skin edges of the wound.rnrnNext to the above is the following surgical images:rn2. Eliptical incision with inclusion of the draining sinus tract.rn3. Dissection with excision of the bursal sac.rn4. Recontouring of the underlying muscles, to fit the new skin extension,rn5. Saw osteotomy of the distal tibial bone.rn6. Suture closure of the muscles and skin flap over the modified stump.rn
