This medical exhibit illustrates the surgical repair if the bile duct injury. It is clear in these images that this patient has undergone a previous Roux-en-Y gastric bypass. The images the clearly show the division of the jejunum distal to the previous Roux-en-Y, the pulling of the new bowel limb up to the liver to create a new Roux-en-Y, and enlarged views to clearly show how the hepatic duct stumps were connected to the bowel limb pulled up to the liver.
