This stock medical exhibit shows the anatomy of L4-5 and L5-S1 in a series of illustrations. The first illustration shows a midsagittal view of the spine, indicating the L4-5 level and the L5-S1 level. The second illustration shows a superior view of the L4-5 disc and the L5 vertebra, including the nucleus pulposus, annulus fibrosus, posterior longitudinal ligament, nerve root and thecal sac surrounding cauda equina. The third illustration shows a superior view of the L5-S1 disc and sacrum, including the same additional labeled structures noted in the second illustration.
