This stock medical exhibit depicts the surgical repair of injuries to the C6 and C7 vertebrae. The first image shows the post-accident condition, with a hematoma anterior to the body of C6, fractures through the lateral mass of C6 and C7, disruption of the C6-C7 disc, and subluxation at this level. The remaining images describe the surgery, including the incision, discectomy, harvesting of bone from the iliac crest and placement of the bone graft in the intervertebral space, and placement of a six hole anterior cervical plate.
