This exhibit features with one view of the right hand and wrist illustrating the post-accident condition with the bones of this region shown transparently beneath the skin. This image reveals the displaced distal radius fracture and the ulnar styloid fracture. rnrnNext, two images illustrate the surgical repairs. These images include the carpal tunnel release and the placement of the internal fixation hardware to stabilize the 4-part radial fracture.rnrnFinally, two additional images summarize the additional procedure. These images show the removal of the previously placed fixation hardware, the harvest of bone grafts from the elbow and the placement of the bone grafts into the right radius osteotomy site.
