This exhibit board illustrates two different surgeon’s procedures in a double mastectomy and implantation.rnrnThe top half of the board illustrates the removal of breast tissue from an anterior and side cutaway view. The anterior image demonstrates the periareolar incision and tissue removal. The side view demonstrates the two different methods of extraction, one heat/electrocautery and the other cold/sharp scalpel, used to remove the fatty tissue of the breast and normal position of the pectorals muscle.rnrnThe bottom half of the board illustrates the insertion of the implants, again with an anterior and side cutaway view. The anterior view illustrates the positioning of the implants beneath the muscle and AlloDerm layers. The sagittal view shows how the implant presses against the overlying musculature.
