Cervical Spinal Injury with Microdiskectomy

This is a single board exhibit that includes an orientation view, a film and film interpretation, and two surgical steps depicting the microdiskectomy. The orientation image shows a female posterior with the cervical neck boxed off to denote the affected area. The film interpretation shows the right disk protrusion at C6-7 and has the film insert beside it. The two surgical steps show the keyhole foraminotomy with the surrounding bone removed by rongeur and the removal of the herniated disc material to decompress the affected nerve root.
